D-1569U… Pair of Extra-Strong, Low Profile Metal Table Slides. Our most popular of the metal table slides. Each slide section is 31-1/2 inches long by 4 inches wide by 1-1/2 inches high in the closed position. Extention 44 inches. Allows 42 inches for leaves. Stationary double center section, double welded, heavy cold rolled steel, gives this slide exceptional strength. Extensions are ball bearing mounted and balanced overlay of component sections minimize sag when opened to extreme. Low profile (only 1-1/2 inches high) permits the slide to be concealed with narrow “aprons”. By design table slides will sag, because table slides must have some play, allowing them to slide. Other factors such as weight, number of table leaves and the amount of added weight placed on table in use, will also affect sag. Shimming slides at the edge where two sides of table meet will help. As a general rule, the more overlap the sections of the slides have, the less sag. The best solution is to install folding table legs for added support. H-65800L or S-149L are hinges which can be used for folding legs. Another help with sag is to buy a slide which takes more leaves than you need, especially the reciprocating type.
