Installation Note

Original trunk hardware was traditionally attached with trunk nails approximately 1/4" longer than the trunk wall thickness, bent over inside and covered with wallpaper to prevent hardware from being pulled loose during transport. Screws, rivets, and screw posts are also commonly used and are often preferred for modern restorations.
