Small cast brass trunk lock for antique trunk restoration, patented 1872. This is not a keyed lock — it uses a small lever release on the right side. When the hook and lock body are engaged, overall height is approximately 3-3/8 inches. Lock body is 1-7/8 inch tall by 1-15/16 inch wide. The words "PAT JUL 9.72" (1872) are cast directly into the brass. Includes screws. Sold individually, not in pairs. Product photo shows the lock in both closed and open position.
