15-Inch Transom Chain, Black / Oil-Rubbed Bronze - BM-8803OB

15-Inch Black / Oil-Rubbed Bronze Transom Chain

The BM-8803OB is a 15-inch transom chain with solid brass brackets and a steel chain. Its black/oil-rubbed bronze finish is predominantly black rather than a pronounced bronze tone. Choose it when a dark finish suits the surrounding hardware on your transom project.

Brass Brackets and Steel Chain

The brackets are solid brass, while the chain is steel. These are distinct materials; the complete assembly should not be described as a solid brass chain. The bracket pins can be screwed in or out to allow the chain length to be changed.

Choosing Hardware for Your Transom

Compare the stated 15-inch length with the requirements of your existing transom arrangement. Check the available bracket mounting surfaces and compare the hardware's shape with your original fittings before ordering. Bracket dimensions, screw-hole spacing, and load capacity are not specified here, so do not assume a fit from the chain length alone.

For a coordinated restoration or replacement project, consider both the finish and the construction. The predominantly black appearance is particularly important when matching other hardware described as oil-rubbed bronze, since finish names do not guarantee an identical color.

Compare Other Finishes

For a different appearance, compare the BM-8803PB brass-plated transom chain and the BM-8803BN brushed-nickel transom chain. Both are listed with a 15-inch length in their current product descriptions; compare their specifications before selecting a finish.
