Nickel plated steel spring loaded trunk lock, 4-3/4 inches long by 3-3/4 inches wide. Flush mounted design. Includes 2 keys. Original trunk hardware was historically attached with trunk nails approximately 1/4 inch longer than the trunk wall thickness, then bent over inside and covered with wallpaper — a traditional method to prevent hardware from being pulled loose during transport. Screws, rivets, and screw posts were also commonly used. Sold individually.
