About Antique Ice Box Hardware

Ice boxes were the standard household food preservation appliance from the mid-1800s through the 1930s, when electric refrigerators became widely available. Manufactured by companies such as White Clad, Columbia, and others, these oak and pine cabinets featured distinctive brass or nickel hardware that is now highly sought after by collectors and restorers. Authentic reproduction latches and hinges like this polished brass set ensure your restoration is both functional and period-accurate.
